This Windtunnel Canister with its powerful 12 amp motor is the complete canister for all your cleaning needs. The 15″ Power Nozzle with headlight has Windtunnel Technology to pick up all the deep down dirt in your carpets. It also has brushed edge cleaning which allows you to get right up to the base boards. The handle is D-shaped for more comfort and it also has a Brush Roll on/off switch so that you can turn the agitator on or off, to go from carpets to bare floor with ease. My wife liked the first one we got 1 year ago so much, we ordered a second one 2 months later. Fortunately, that was a good decision, as it has taken both of them in order to keep at least one unit functioning at any one time. After only one year of use, both units are ready for the recycler after a laundry list of repairs. Do not buy this unit.

For the price this is a great vacuum. The plastics are “cheap” so I’m not sure how long it will last.
Suction: Amazing- especially on carpet- don’t let your cat get too close or it’s gone!
Accessories: They supply you with all you need, but like mentioned above, very cheap plastics.
Weight: Lightweight for stair cleaning- no problem.
I’m comparing this vacuum to our Miele Champaigne (solid vacuum with exceptionally well made parts) which is used for cleaning our living spaces. We’re using the Hoover for the garage and basement- primarily to pick up cat litter- and it does just what we’re asking of it.

The ONLY thing I dislike is there is no brush head lock. You pick it up and it swings & bangs the ground. That makes it slightly floppy and awkward to carry. But it is powerful, slick and has a few nice features that I really wanted. I especially love being able to set it on its end without blocking the exhaust (goes out the top) Only feature it doesn’t have that I knew when purchasing, was a unit on/off switch on the handle. The switch it does have is for the electric in the brush head (stops the bristles from spinning).
